This flow field was computed using spikes from the temporal contrast silicon retina.

This collaboration between INI and the Univ. of Oslo is developing
methods for particle tracking for hydrodynamics using the spiking
silicon retina. We are developing event-based methods for accurately
measuring flow fields by tracking many small particles in hydrodynamics
experiments, and comparing the performance, cost, and usability of
using the frame-free retina versus using frame-based high speed cameras.
